“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”

Carl Jung described the function of the creative mind the best when he penned the above line in his Red Book. The creator archetype is among the storytelling tools we use from Carl Jung’s teachings. The defining superpower of the creator is to absorb the world and reproduce it new, made more interesting and beautiful inside their mind. We have all the art, music, books, films and objects thanks to creative minds that decided to play with this  world.

✺ The vintage photograph on this T-shirt depicts a person lost in a moment of musing on the beach of Mount Lavinia—one of Sri Lanka’s oldest tourist beaches that became hallmark locations depicting idyllic island beauty. Originally created by Platé & Co., this is a platinum-printed photograph of a private collection of travel images from ca. 1900 - ca. 1920. It’s currently housed at the Rijksmuseum in the Netherlands. It’s an image that reveals a moment when someone is lost in their muse, looking outside and dreaming while awakening inside.

* Each is printed by hand. This is why every print is unique and slightly different from all others, and each carries marks of being made by human hands.
